For over 40 years, Word in Deed Ministries has served Uganda through church planting, medical clinics, and education. Our scholarship program focuses on orphaned and vulnerable children who lack the resources to attend school.
How It Works
A partnership rooted in accountability.
Sponsorship isn't a one-way transaction. It's a shared commitment between students, guardians, sponsors, and the school.
- Students and guardians sign a one-year contract with clear expectations.
- Students must maintain passing grades and good behavior.
- Students write or draw a letter to their sponsor twice a year on Easter and Christmas.
- Guardians volunteer at the school two days per month.
- Sponsors receive photo and letter updates through a shared Google Drive folder.
Where the Need Is
Mpunge Boarding School.
We’re currently raising scholarships for Mpunge Boarding School, which becomes self-sustaining at 50 boarders — covering teacher salaries, safe housing, meals, and supervision.
Boarding is especially protective for girls, giving them a stable place to live, learn, and grow into who God made them to be.
The Cost
$375
covers one student’s full year of boarding school tuition, housing, and meals.
